Romero Brittos artwork adorns the fountains, slides, inner tubes, umbrellas and so much more of Miamis newest water park, Grapeland. Grapeland opened in the hot summer months of 2008 and has revitalized an area that was once a dumpsite into a treasure trove of fun for families. Grapeland Park is located at 1550 NW 37th Ave, right off of the 836.
After years of planning by city and community officials, the park is quickly being referred to, as Brittos touch and signature, literally, are everywhere. From numerous monuments, statues, fountains, plaques and flags, the bright, festive characters scream fun in the sun. Even the Pop artists The Little Pirate Girl, also known as Tina, greets patrons as they enter but his touch is what makes the place so much more than just a few water slides and chlorinated water.
