Montreux Jazz Festival

For the second time (first in 1999), Claude Nobs, founder and director of the Montreux Jazz Festival asked international Pop artist Romero Britto to create a definitive work of art to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Montreux Jazz Festival. The work of art, a monumental musical sculpture was permanently installed at the Raffles Le Montreux Palace hotel. This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the Raffles Le Montreux Palace. Montreux is the zenith of worldwide jazz fairs; known around the world for its incomparable catalog of music greats who perform as well as the pilgrimage of over 200,000 music lovers who visit the festival performance venues.
