Romero Britto

Brittos Dreams Become Reality

As a child in Recife, Brazil, Romero Britto was dazzled by the beauty he found in Disney animated films. He longed to one day visit Disneyland., and always dreamed of creating his own magical images.

In October 1997, Romeros childhood dreams came true when he was invited to attend the Walt Disney Art Classics Preffered Gallery Forum at Disneyland to unveil his newest Disney inspired serigraph, Mickey Mouses Greatest Love. The Image, depicting Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dancing on a golden sand beach, was shown to Disneys preffered animation and fine art galleries from around the globe. Tom Caravella, Director of Licensing for Walt Disney Art Classics, presented the Walt Disney Art Classics Fine Art Program and introduced Romero and Mickey Mouse to attendees.

As part of this program, Romero Britto is among a select group of established and emerging artists selected by Disney to create inspired, artistic visions of Disneys famous characters and properties. With his bright and cheerful interpretations of Disney characters, Romeros Disney inspired serigraphs are a perfect fit for the Walt Disney Art Classics Fine Art Program.
